The NewTek TriCaster TCXD850FN Live Production System (Full Unit) is a 22-channel, 1080p native switcher that allows you to simultaneously broadcast, live stream, and project and record HD and/or SD productions, while giving you total control over the entire process. The live production system also comes with one-button live streaming that lets you directly stream full HD live recordings over the Internet in resolutions of up
to 720p.

The TriCaster TCXD850FN offers one-button recording, which allows you to capture and save live productions at full HD resolution and store them as high-quality video and stream files with ease. Given that this live production system can also record 50 hours of 1080i 59.94 video (which can be further increased using the unit's 4 removable drive bays), you have unlimited storage and backup space for all of your post-production and archival needs.

The TCXD850FN comes with 8 external video inputs that allow you to connect up to 8 HD and/or SD live cameras in any combination (HD/SD-SDI, HD/SD component, etc.), and 8 virtual/mix channels with presets and individual overlays that can be used to save complex switcher effects and assign them to a single source for easy access and use in the future.

Using 18 HD live virtual sets in combination with the LiveSet technology and advanced matte generation, the live production system lets you get a sophisticated studio look even in a limited space setting. The unit also comes with 5 digital media players (2 DDRs, a titles bin, a stills store, and a sound player), which can be used to present video clips, titles, images, motion graphics, music, audio clips, etc. when in live production.

To enable overlay customization, the unit features 2 downstream keys that come with independent effects, and enable you to position, key, scale, rotate, and crop in 3D, and use animated effects. The Live Production System has 2 network inputs - you can connect the TCXD850FN to an external computer, and gain access to any number of displays (via the iVGA technology), and also add titles and graphics (via the LiveText technology).

The TriCaster TCXD850FN comes with multi-view monitoring options, and allows you to view all switcher inputs at full field rate simultaneously, to view color Waveform and Vectorscope displays for the verification of signal integrity, etc. With this live production system's flexible audio support, you can attach microphones, stereo or quad line level sources, etc. using any combination of the included SDI, AES, and balanced XLR
audio inputs. The unit also provides you with the option of integrating an external audio setup, as it precedes audio mixing with video support and auxiliary routing.

With its 3 video output rows, the TriCaster TCXD850FN allows you to simultaneously output HD video and SD video. The HDMI, DVI, and VGA program output options allow you to use a projector (IMAG) or any other
monitoring application to display the video. The 4U rack mount form factor makes the TriCaster TCXD850FN suitable for desktop installation and handy enough for use in portable live production setups.
