The Ruby Wide 14-24mm lens was created by Focus Optics by rehousing the Nikkor 14-24mm super wide zoom from Nikon into a cine-friendly form factor. The superb optical performance of the original Nikon glass is maintained, including an incredible sharpness corner-to-corner, especially at the wide end. Also, the focus direction has been reversed to go in the traditional cine direction and the focus travel has been expanded to 126 degrees. Focus Optics’ antibacklash design ensures complete accuracy of focus marks.
The zoom mechanism uses a unique dual-bearing race design to eliminate image shift. T-stop range is from T2.8 - 22.
The front diameter of the Ruby 14-24 is 110mm, and the lens accepts a screw-in 102mm filter.
The lens's overall length is 138mm, with a weight of 3 lbs.
