The Master Prime lenses open up new creative opportunities, making shots possible that would have been considered impossible before. A widest stop of T1.3 allows shooting in low or available light for more natural-looking shots and a reduction of the lighting budget. In addition, a wide open stop creates the cinematic look of an extremely shallow depth of field.

Lens Report

Here is a final condition report for the Master Primes:

14mm - No scratches visible on front or rear elements, focus and iris rings smooth, very minor scratches on front of barrel.

25mm  - Faint cleaning marks on front element, rear element pristine, focus and iris rings smooth, minor loss of finish on kompendium ring, minor scratches on front of barrel.

35mm - Very faint cleaning mark on rear element, minor cleaning marks on front element, focus and iris rings smooth, deep scratch on lens barrel near compendium ring, small scratches on focus ring.

50mm - Tiny scratch near edge of front element, rear element pristine, focus and iris rings smooth, multiple tiny dents around kompendium ring, some loss of finish on barrel shroud.

75mm - No scratches visible on front or rear elements, focus and iris rings smooth, extremely minor scratches on front of barrel shroud.

100mm - 5mm-long scratch visible near edge of front element, rear element pristine, focus ring has a little bit of grind, iris ring smooth, minor dents on barrel shroud.
