The SRW-5500 is a dual format high definition VTR. It utilizes the latest generation of the MPEG4 Studio Profile codec for the SR format, but it can also record to the well proven HDCAM format. Key features include standard support for 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 RGB SQ recording. The HKSR-5003 option is no longer required for 4:4:4 RGB SQ. The SRW-5500/2 records 1080i and 1080PsF signals at frames rates of 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30 in PsF mode and field rates of 50, 59.94 in Interlace mode. It also supports 720P recording and playback at 50, 59.94 frames/second. The HKSR-5001 option provides multiple format conversions including 4:4:4 ó 4:2:2, 1080 ó720 and 2:3 pulldown. Legacy playback of HDCAM is standard and Digital Betacam (with upconversion) is provided by the HKSR-5002 option.
