Motion Mount S35 Ti PL
The DSMC® RED MOTION MOUNT® is a an adjustable lens mount system for your camera. The MOTION MOUNT integrates a global shutter, temporal anti-aliasing soft shutter, and variable neutral density (ND) system. This enables on-the-fly shutter adjustments to reduce motion blur and temporal aliasing. The ND filter also includes a linear polarizer and IR filter for improved image color and contrast.
NOTE: HDRX® is not available when the MOTION MOUNT Shutter Type is set to Soft or Square.
The Epic-W 8K S35 camera captures 8K full-frame motion at up to 30 fps, produces ultra-detailed 35.4 megapixel stills, and offers Super 35 lens coverage; the camera is capable of fast data speeds up to 275MB/s.
Originally released in 2016 as part of the DSMC lineup, the Epic-W Helium is the original Epic-W brain with a DSMC2 body and sensor upgrade. NOTE: This differs from the newer Helium 8K S35 (from the unified DSMC2 lineup) in a few small ways. First, the internals are slightly different from the later version and second, that the Epic-W model can record 8K at only 30fps compared to the newer Helium which can record 8K at 60fps.
The Epic-W Helium features an active pixel area of 8192 × 4320 and a maximum resolution of 8K at 24fps. Helium sensors take the next step in exceeding beauty offered by film - up to 17x more resolution than HD—and over 4x more than 4K. A DSMC2 Brain is capable of data write speeds of 300 MB/s, and can simultaneously record in REDCODE RAW and Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR/HD. With features like cable-free peripherals, integrated media bay, wireless control, and more—DSMC2 is also compatible with a growing arsenal of modules and accessories—from Red and other Third-Party manufacturers. Tack on interchangeable OLPFs and lens mounts and DSMC2 gives you the ultimate control over your footage.
