Business Highlights

Just some of our business highlights thru out the years.

2003
We had the privilege of having a Booth at NAB 2003 with Roger Macie of Macie Video http://www.macievideo.com. I would like to thank him and his crew for their continued friendship and support. They have been a very big part of our success. Another "God thing" as I like to call it.

We became dealers for Chyron Refurbished CG's, Anginieux Lenses, Cartoni Tripods & Varizoom and the list is growing.

1995
Development of the www.broadcastvideo.com website A joint venture with Roger Macie of Macie Video, it contains "The Freelance Guide" - a global freelance videographer listing service - and "The Net Police" for stolen video gear. Both are free and maintained at Macie Video between repairs.

1992
For Barbara Holler after her divorce in 1989, her circumstances began to change. She had no job, no money and two small children to support. Barbara developed this multimillion dollar business starting with the contacts in a small Rolodex file she found on a desk at the video equipment repair company she inherited from her brother, a broadcast engineer, after his death in 1992.

One day as she fretted over whether to continue or close the business, Barbara answered the phone and chatted with a video repairman who was looking for a job. She hired him on the spot to do the equipment repairs, which kept the company solvent. Soon it became apparent that equipment resale - not repair - was the biggest center of profit. New Pro Video Systems Inc. shifted gears and focused on the buying and selling of equipment and decided to only work with outside independent engineers.

Although the repairs were not a good profit center, today Barbara realizes the benefits of starting there. She was able to learn all about the equipment and the industry - including diagnostics, reading schematics, ordering parts, cleaning up the machines and physically handling all the equipment during pickup, delivery and repair. "I had to learn the business from the ground up," she said. "I had to learn about the equipment inside and out. I worked alongside the technician and ordered the parts. It was hard work, but I'm delighted with where we have come to and how I have successfully competed in a primarily male technical field.

Coming from a family of engineers, her dormant technical genes came into good use. "I've really lived a miracle," Barbara said. "Every time I was ready to quit, something good happened. I contribute our success to God and the many wonderful people who have been placed in our path."
