This feature-packed DVCAM VTR handles both Mini and Standard-sized DVCAM cassettes, for up to 184 minutes recoding time, as well as playback of consumer DV tapes. In addition to the DV Input/Output based on the IEEE 1394 interface, there's also conventional composite video, S-Video and analog audio connections. With the DSR-30, recording and playback is just the beginning. You also get 10-segment cuts-only auto assemble editing. The slide-out editing control panel operates both the DSR-30 and an external Player connected through the LANC interface. And that helps prove the point.
