Wafian HR-1 HD Video Recorder
The Wafian HR-1 is the first on-set 10-Bit Direct-to-Disk HD Video Recorder using the award winning Cineform Digital Intermediate format. The HR-1 records to both .AVI and .MOV formats which provides greater flexibility for editing. The HR-1 has proven to be the most efficient solution on the market, seamlessly moving its users through Shoot-Record-Edit.
The HR-1 eliminates training costs by providing an easy to use "One Button" interface to record and review your footage. A built in touch screen LCD panel allows you to easily change recording settings and to review your footage immediately after shooting with the speed of non-linear access.
The HR-1 replaces outmoded tape decks with state of the art, affordable technology designed for the Film, Broadcast, and Telecine professional. The HR-1 records full resolution from HDSDI and HD Component feeds from most HD cameras. It can record up to 18 hours of 10-Bit 1920 x 1080 24P footage in a mirrored configuration to ensure the safety of your content.

Offloading Footage On-set: Even while on set, offload footage through Gigabit Ethernet, Firewire, or USBII. Because you are simply transferring bits of data electronically, you team will always work with identical copies of your digital master.
Wavelet Compression: Unlike DCT compression found on tape where quality is drastically reduced over time, Wavelet compression softens only after a large number of generations. Using the award winning Cineform Intermediate, the HR-1 provides more than 15 visually lossless generations of post-production rendering.
