The HK-353 is a CCD Studio/Field Camera, incorporating an advanced Interline Transfer (IT) CCD image sensors. A newly developed IT CCD with a total of 400,000 pixels delivers enhanced picture quality, ensuring satisfactory image quality with a dramatic reduction in fixed pattern noise. Reduction of smear has been achieved by the improvement of CCDs and drive circuits. The HK-353 delivers high-quality images with a S/N ratio of 62dB (typical) and horizontal resolution of 700 TV lines. The camera system accommodates various types of cables, triaxial, multicore and fiber optics; and offers a host of features that permit flexible and versatile operations. The HK-353 meets all the requirements of a studio/field camera.
Features
High resolution and high S/N ratio
Using 2/3-inch IT CCDs with 400,000 pixels, the HK-353 features a horizontal resolution of 700 TV lines (Y ch) and a high S/N ratio of 62dB (typical).
Well-balanced camera head
The camera head is made of aluminium and its center of gravity is low for smooth operation.
Easy maintenance
The HK-353 saves camera adjustment and maintenance time by eliminating the need for registration, geometry, and other time-consuming adjustments. The camera head also employs mother board construction with plug-in modules.
3-DTL
Three-channel vertical detail correction is incorporated and provides detail for all color objects. A complete MIX DTL is also provided to suppress the DTL-induced moire.
Optical axis adjustment
The HK-353 has a newly-developed feature that allows adjustment of the optical axis of the prism block, So that the center of the lens and the CCD are correctly aligned. This function gives full correction of optical axis, especially when a lens with high magnification is used.
Electronic: shutter
A continuously variable electronic shutter is provided.
Highlight compression
Highlight compression allows the camera to handle high scene contrasts.
Linear matrix
Incorporating a linear matrix circuit, the HK-353 has ideal colorimetry and obtains images with superior color fidelity from dark to highlight areas of the picture.
A wide variety of applications
Three types of cables, triax, multicore, and fiber optic, can be used by merely replacing a module. Furthermore, since the HK-353 system configuration is the same as the HK-323/355, the base station and other peripheral equipment are common to both camera systems
